COMPLETE pre-hire vehicle demonstration
Many of our clients have never driven a 4WD before, so when the day has come to pick up your RedSands vehicle, you might be a bit nervous to simply get behind the wheel and start driving. That’s why instead of just handing over your key, we give you a full vehicle demonstration where we show you all the amazing features and equipment your 4WD comes with – from our rooftop tents and full camp kitchen to the amazing 270-degree awning. The team will also teach you how to use the different 4WD features and settings.
Full bull-bar and side steps for extra protection
Our 4WD Rooftop Campers, 2-Person 4WD Motorhomes and 4WD Land Cruiser Prado’s are the only vehicles on the Australian hire market with a full bull bar, brush bar and side steps, to minimise or even eliminate damage caused by animal collisions. For even more peace of mind, all our vehicles come with either 2 or 3 spare tyres, ensuring you are well prepared for any off-road adventure.
Thorough safety checks
Before each hire, our professional team conducts thorough safety checks on all our vehicles. We ensure that every aspect is in optimal condition, so you can focus on enjoying your adventure without any concerns.
We leave a minimum of 3 working days between each hire. During this time, our vehicles are professionally cleaned and detailed, and they get a full safety check and mechanical service following a strict protocol. This way, we can ensure our fleet is maintained to the absolute highest standards.
Under-bonnet air compressor
At RedSands Campers, we encourage people to get off the beaten track, while giving our clients the confidence and tools to do so. All our vehicles are equipped with an under-the-bonnet air compressor that allows you to deflate (and inflate) your tyres. It’s recommended to deflate your tyres when driving off-road, especially for beach driving. Deflating your tyres helps improve your vehicle’s traction and ensures better grip. Prepared for any adventure with our 24/7 roadside assistance
No matter where your journey takes you, our 24/7 roadside assistance is just a call away. Our team is ready to provide support and guidance, ensuring that you’re never alone in case of unexpected situations. In addition, our knowledgeable suppliers and partners in regional and remote locations ensure that repairs are done quickly, professionally, and securely.
Our vehicles are also equipped with essential emergency equipment, such as a first aid kit and a personal locator beacon (PLB). A PLB is a small handheld device that can be activated in life-threatening situations. Once activated, emergency services are notified, who will work with RedSands to respond to your emergency. We suggest taking the PLB with you and placing it in your backpack whenever you’re planning on being away from your vehicle, for example when going for a hike.
